Extrait de parfum

Accords: leathery, spicy, powdery, woody, animal
Mood: erotic, intimate, animal, mysterious

Mysterious and seductive, soft and carnal at the same time, Under my Skin is my interpretation of the animal theme. Softened by a precious iris butter, this emotional fragrance is human and intimate, as if it emanated from your own skin.

Notes: grapefruit, lavender, black pepper, spices, Bulgarian rose, carnation, iris butter, musk, castoreum, ambergris, leather accord, costus, tonka bean, tolu balsam, Peruvian balsam, sandalwood, vanilla, tree moss.

This is a parfum extrait, to be used sparingly because the concentration is 25%. It has a great longevity (12h on average).

The origin of Under My Skin

Under My Skin is my interpretation of the animal theme. I was charmed by strong animal scents, and I tried to make my own; but I had to realize that what I like in other people's creations is not necessarily what I like to create myself.

So, after adding animal materials going in the direction of heavy or soft or stable, I had to eliminate them little by little, to arrive at this solution that suits me best: a leathery material, slightly animal, powdery, a velvety and elegant grip. It fits my personality and style and when I finally understood that this was my path, I was finally happy and relieved.

The name comes from a conversation with an artist and perfume lover, who said that it is as if the perfume emanates from the skin. This concept of "Under My Skin" reinforced my idea of moving towards something more subtly "human" than overtly "animal". The heart of the perfume is a combination of animal and leathery notes tamed by iris butter (15% irone!). After working on this heart, I worked on the base notes, composed of Tolu Balsam, Peru Balsam, Tonka Bean and several types of wood.

The last step of the work was the opening, where I used grapefruit and lavender. I used to hate lavender, but here it plays a subtle and elegant role. I was amazed at how well it paired with this fragrance, bringing brightness and elegance to it.
