UN MATIN AU MARCHÉ DE KANDY- HAROLD & MAUDE

Our guide led us to the beautiful Kandy market nestled in the depths of Sri Lanka. In the midst of the swarming crowds, we discover numerous stalls of deliciously colorful spices. The air is heavy and clammy. It soaked in their captivating, sometimes animal, scents. We approach a small stall of subtly peppery cinnamon. These curious ochre sticks crumble in our hands and happily deliver their warm, vanilla and fruity aromas, which curiously carry us to past Christmas scents...

FRUITY, SPICY: ALMOND - ORANGE - CINNAMON - SWEET ACCORD

Each of our HAROLD & MAUDE candles is made of 100% natural waxes. No mineral wax, so no petroleum paraffin. The fragrances we use are all guaranteed to be free of CMR. substances and phthalates. 

When first used and after cutting the wick (about 5 mm) let the candle burn until the entire surface has become liquid! The size of the candle being large, it may require about 4 hours of combustion, (plan it).  This step will prevent the wax from being hollowed out and definitively forming a crater around the lock.

The wax may not melt completely on one edge of your candle. (Our candles and wicks are cast one at a time by hand, so they are never centered on a millimeter.) In this case, just before turning it off, gently use the tip of a knife to lift and slide this small crescent of soft wax into the liquid wax.

Use your HAROLD & MAUDE candle with delicacy!  After baking, each of the ceramic pots was given a matte, unenameled finish layer.  This beautiful velvety finish can be sensitive to small scratches when handled incorrectly. 

Beyond a room larger than 40m2, and for a better diffusion of the perfume, we advise you to burn 2 candles of the same perfume, well away from each other.

Before each ignition, cut the wick so that it does not exceed 5 mm. Use a special candle cutter to avoid scratching the ceramic. 

Use a black extinguisher to turn it off, to avoid black smoke and drowning the fuse. If necessary, gently re-center there with the side of your wick cutter or the tip of a knife while the wax is still soft.
