SILKY WOODS - GOLDFIELD & BANKS
SILKY WOODS - GOLDFIELD & BANKS
Wrapped in melted gold and infused with precious agar wood, Silky Woods is the first aptly named fragrance in a new luxury collection called the Botanical Series by Goldfield & Banks.
Highlighting the precious wood species sustainably harvested for the first time in the history of perfumery in the Daintree Rainforest, Tropical Queensland, Silky Woods is a delicious and delicate blend, but also very sensual, that captures Australia's sensory experience.
To a modern scent of suede, exotic vanilla and smoked tobacco leaves, Goldfield & Banks added refined essences of saffron, incense, ylang ylang and indigenous sandalwood.
Silky Woods is a celebration of Australia's abundance of organic ingredients and the local innovation with which they are transformed into the world's coveted tree species.

About the Silky Woods perfume:
This fragrance is a more subtle, luxurious and modern interpretation of agar wood (also called oud). It is pleasant to wear at any occasion and offers the sensation of a gourmet and musky fragrance on a soft and silky skin.
The vial:
Eager to showcase Australia's leading expertise in botanical research and development, Goldfield & Banks wrapped its creation in a package as sumptuous as the perfume it contains. Each French glass bottle is lacquered with gold and contains 24-carat gold powder, in homage to the romance of the Australian gold rush and the seduction of the native flora, nuts, woods and seeds that inspire each of the perfumes of the house.
Silky Woods is wrapped in a luxurious Goldfield & Banks suede pouch.
Learn more about Silky Woods:
The result of this new creation is the scent of a journey in search of Australia's ultimate olfactory treasures, a journey reminiscent of botanist Joseph Banks' first visit to Australia in 1770. He discovered exotic plants previously unknown to science, in the same way that Goldfield & Banks founder Dimitri Weber has made it his mission to praise Australian indigenous ingredients since he launched his luxury perfume house in 2016.
A modern explorer of scents and sensuality, Dimitri Weber was fascinated by agar plantations in the tropics of the country. Seduced by the complexity of planting techniques and the sustainable methods applied to the harvesting and extraction of this precious and unique oil, he forged a friendship with the farmers of the far north of Queensland.
Goldfield & Banks' new Botanical Series pays tribute to the exceptional purity, idyllic climate and rich soil that have made Australia a fertile continent second to none. Long known as the cradle of clean beauty trends, Australia is now the new frontier of perfumery, locally growing the world's most prestigious perfumery ingredients in a serene and green environment.
Silky Woods is cruelty-free.
