As every evening, Madame prepares in her office. She won’t have time to return home. She emphasizes her eyes with black pencil and raises her lips fleshy red. She closes the door of the building and her heels are ringing fast in the street. Like every Thursday, she likes to go to this cabaret on Place de la Concorde. My lady is as enthusiastic as she is every night. Sitting at the bar, she orders a whisky with ice cream and lights up a cigarette. In the darkness of the place, she sees a silhouette in front of her. She's setting herself aside. It's always that same gentleman. They meet regularly without ever talking to each other. She smiles, gets up and goes dancing alone. One man after another tries to get his attention. From the look, she always answers. Lady is chic, she communicates. But around two in the morning, as this dandy with a confident and mysterious look invites him to dance... She whispered a few words into her ear... "Not tonight."
