LOST IN HEAVEN - FRANCESCA BIANCHI
LOST IN HEAVEN - FRANCESCA BIANCHI
Chords: Sweet, spicy, animal, floral
Mood: comforting, sensual, disobedient
The dual nature of every human being: the desire for perfection, innocence, the absence of error, a place uncontaminated by sin on the one hand, and the inevitable fallibility and impossibility of correcting errors on the other. The combination of white flowers and animal facets represents this dichotomy, as an invitation to accept both idealism and imperfection as a very specific human characteristic.
Notes: grapefruit, green mandarin, orange blossom absolute, jasmine, ylang extra, mimosa, magnolia, cumin, cinnamon, coriander, amber gris, musk, castoreum, beeswax, iris butter, cistus absolute, opoponax, heliotrope, vetyver, sandalwood, patchouli, tonka bean.
It is a perfume extract, to be used sparingly because the concentration is 25%. It has a great longevity (12 hours on average).
Lost in Heaven depicts a dream sequence of an adult getting lost in heaven.
It represents the complexity of feelings that reflect both the yearning for a place of uncontaminated innocence and unconditional love and the inevitable and controversial burden of life, made up of feelings of sin and guilt - real or, worse, imagined.
This dichotomy, which lies at the bottom of everyone's soul, is represented by a selection of the most angelic notes: the magnificent absolutes of orange blossom and jasmine, as well as the sweet heliotrope, the creamy sandalwood, the sweet tonka bean and many other notes that I consider paradisiacal.
The darker side is conveyed much more subtly, not immediately detectable, by cumin and other spices, and a wide selection of animal notes, including a reconstruction of the Tonkin Musk.
I had the idea to call this perfume “Feeling Good”, because that's its goal: to make you feel like in paradise, not an imaginary paradise, but a real place where you can finally face your dark side, the heavy baggage you carry with you.
Fragile, sensual, emotional, without being technically greedy, it reminds me of a cake, rich in spices and with an aroma of orange blossom: not high pastry but the archetypical smell of a cake made by mom, with all good things in it;
