THE CORA - THAMEEN
THE CORA - THAMEEN
HISTORY: The Cora Sun-Drop diamond is the largest yellow pear-shaped diamond in the world, weighing 110.3 carats. Colored by tiny amounts of nitrogen trapped in carbon molecules, the Cora formed 1-3 billion years ago and was discovered in South Africa in 2010. It was sold in 2011, at an auction in Geneva, for nearly 7 million euros to an anonymous buyer. A new fragrance from the British luxury perfume house Thameen, inspired by this rare gemstone, “The Cora”, is a bright, golden and multi-faceted spectrum of rare and beautiful ingredients making it as hypnotic and timeless as its namesake.
PERFUME: A radiance opens this modern classic with an iridescent glow of white jasmine and magnolia that glow on bright yellow Bulgarian roses and honeyed glycines. The delicately spicy nutmeg attracts light and effortlessly sneaks into the floral glow of the carnation and lily of the valley. Benzoin sharpens the senses before a translucent vanilla slips into the icy base of golden amber, patchouli and a bright white musk. The Cora is a perfume impregnated with luminous phosphorescence and softer and brighter accents. Its beauty is both ethereal and magnificent.
